In the hectic pace that we live today, it is often difficult to stop and really observe, soak in and appreciate the sometimes incantational beauty, truth, uniqueness & depth of what lies along our daily paths. This blog is dedicated to the paradoxical and multifaceted beauty of Athens. Whether you are a resident or a visitor, I welcome you to send your photograph & short text (caption, story or poem) of your personal view of the Greek capital.

Acropolis, March 2007
A walk in my neighborhood park, in downtown Athens. Enjoying the view, the peace, the silence. James Corsi
I live in Thessaloniki but I adore Athens. Kerameikos is one of my favorite archeological sitew, and I more-than-agree it is unrderrated.
YOu are lucky to live in downtown Athens! Unfortunately the Athenians are so consumed by their everyday routine they don't realise what rthe center of this city really is...
I love your view of Athens, it reminds me mine! Isn't the area of Acropolis-Plaka-Filopappou magnificient in spring?

Thank you for commenting - people are usually too lazy!! Good point about Athenians not appreciating their own city enough!
